The Setting:
Tom Phat in Brunswick is already a bit of a legend. Think quirky, eclectic interiors, plenty of recycled timber, and the kind of warm, buzzing atmosphere that makes you want to stay for just one more dish (and then another). The only thing missing? A statement wall that matched the rest of the space’s effortlessly cool, Southeast Asian-inspired aesthetic. Enter: us.
The Challenge:
Picture this: a long, blank wall running the length of the restaurant, looking a little… well, uninspired. It had potential, sure, but it needed that extra touch—something lush, something textured, something that whispered tropical escape while you sipped on a Thai iced tea.
The Solution:
We rolled up our sleeves and got to work, starting with a sleek merbau decking installation behind the bench seats—because even walls deserve a glow-up. Then, we went all in with our favourite greenery masterpiece: South East Coastal. This beauty is a heady mix of lush foliage that instantly transports you to the humid, green depths of a Southeast Asian jungle (minus the mozzies and monsoons).
Now, instead of a blank wall, Tom Phat has a lush, immersive backdrop that makes every meal feel like an escape. The rich timber tones blend seamlessly with the greenery, adding warmth, texture, and just the right amount of drama.
The result? A space that feels even cosier, even more vibrant, and just a little bit wilder. If your walls are looking a little too minimalist, you know where to find us—turns out, a little greenery goes a long way!
